At long last, I foray into the blogging world with some degree of reluctance- but I've decided that I wanted a space conducive for creating, and I figure that a blog would be a good place to start. I'm set on making this corner of the Internet wholly my own: somewhere to haphazardly attempt organizing my jumbled thoughts, share my little adventures, and motivate myself to create more. Whether or not that will hold true, we'll just have to wait and see. Care to join me?
I guess it would only be fitting to start by sharing a recent trip to the mountains- Yosemite, to be exact. And "recent" being 1.5 months ago... Better late than never?
Ah, where to begin. To be at the foot of a mountain, engulfed by redwoods whilst tracing the impossibility of the looming trail ahead. To focus on nothing but placing each foot steadily in front of the other, tuned out to the constant whirring of quotidian worries. To finally reach a long evasive summit and behold the beauty set out before you. At this point, going to the mountains has become a necessity- it's almost as if I crave it for the wellbeing of my soul.
A raging wildfire has been wreaking havoc on the beauty that is Yosemite National, so there's a tinge of bittersweet as I look over these images. I wonder when I'll be able to see this place again, restored to its full glory.
Some more images are residing over at my freshly minted flickr. And I also happened to make a short little video of this particular adventure- enjoy!
